Rancang Bangun Antena Mikrostrip L Slot Patch Dual Band Pada Jaringan LTE
Abstract
Communication of technology is very demanding the variation of small antenna, easy to make, low price, and also can work as needed. In this research the antennas are made operating on a dual band frequency of 1.8 GHz and 2.1 GHz to support technology on LTE networks. In the design of this antenna choose the substrate type RT duroid 5880 with thickness or h = 1.575 mm. Optimization of the antenna is done using L-shaped slot method in order to work at 1.8 GHz and 2.1 GHz frequencies. The antenna measurement results show that the use of slot method successfully supports the antenna to work at 1.8 GHz and 2.1 Ghz frequencies. The minimum return loss of the antenna is -28.06 dB at resonance frequency of 1.803 MHz and -19.08 dB at resonance frequency of 2.111 MHz. The obtained VSWR is 1.082 at 1.803 MHz and 1.285 at 2.111 MHz that required VSWR ≤ 2 and generates a gain of 7.68 dBi at 1.803 MHz, then 7.87 dBi at 2.111 MHz frequencies. Real antenna performance test on LTE Network also successfully done, where antenna can capture frequency of 873.5 MHz with power level of -37.31 dBm, frequency of 952.5 MHz with power level of -52.06 dBm, frequency of 1,804 GHz with power level of -46.44 dBm and 2,147 GHz with power level of -44,15 dBm, and frequency of 2,350 GHz with power level accepted that is -52.72 dBm. This test proves that fabricated antennas can capture signals on both working frequency bands of microstrip L-slot patch antennas.
