Sistem Informasi Jumlah Pengunjung Perpustakaan Menggunakan Sensor Infrared Berbasis Mikrokontroler Arduino (Studi Kasus: Perpustakaan Politeknik Caltex Riau)
Abstract
The more developed technology allows users to ease their work, one of them by making use of a manufacturing system to count the number of visitors. This information system can display the number of visitors to the Politeknik Caltex Riau (PCR) library automatically. The data is stored in a database, so it can display history today, yesterday, a month, and six months. The microcontroller used is Arduino Uno which is an open-source, while the sensor is used to count the number of visitors to the PCR library using an adjustable infrared sensor switch. Data on the number of PCR library visitors that have been read by the Arduino Uno microcontroller will be sent by the Ethernet Shield to the database. The results of this study show that the adjustable infrared sensor works stable with a reading distance of 0 - 80 cm, adjustable infrared sensor switch can read objects with an accuracy level of 100% when there are objects that pass through it. The required delay is 1.0334 seconds when the object passed the adjustable infrared sensor switch until it is displayed on the web server.Published
