Perbandingan Optical Amplifier Konvensional Dengan Hybrid Optical Amplifier Pada DWDM Dan Di Terapkan Pada Sistem Komunikasi Backbone Antar Provinsi
Abstract
DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is a transmission technique that utilizes light with different wavelengths as information channels, so it can perform multiplexing processes, for all wavelengths can be transmitted through an optical fiber media. In this study, researchers will compare conventional optical amplifiers with hybrid optical amplifiers on DWDM based on inter-provincial backbone communication systems. This simulation is designed with 40 channels (40λ) in which each channel has a frequency spacing of 100 Ghz or equivalent to 0.8 nm and long distances to amplify signals with a wavelength of 1550 nm which is transferred from the optical amplifier to as far as 150 km. with optisystem software. In determining the level of network backbone communication system performance there are several parameters to be analyzed, namely Q-factor, power receive, OSNR, BER and Eye diagrams. The simulation results show that the analysis with the farthest distance and wavelength attenuation per kilometer is the power receive with a Prx value of -13.909 dBm with a BER value of 7.16539x10-5 for the optical amplifier simulation section. Prx value of 1,296 dBm with BER value of 0.00208484 for the hybrid optical amplifier simulation section. The results of Prx and bit error rates for hybrid optical amplifiers are no longer good and are within the established standard limits while for the values of Prx and BER on optical amplifiers are still at the maximum ITU-T Prx standard of -27 dBm and BER 10-5-10 -12 with a maximum OSNR value for each simulation ≥ 60 dB.Published
