Water Quality Monitoring on Fish Farming using Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)
AbstractWater quality is one of the parameters in the success of fish farming, so we need a technology that can carry out periodic checks and supervision to monitor water quality so that it remains in a safe and healthy condition for fish. Therefore, the authors conducted research and design of tools to be able to monitor water quality in fish farming ponds. The workings of this monitoring device are water quality parameters obtained from temperature sensors, salinity and turbidity placed in the water, then the sensor measurement results will be processed and sent to a computer via a wifi network using the Arduino Uno with ESP8266 module. This research uses 3 nodes which are placed in 3 different fishpond. Monitoring results can be seen through in server Thingspeak with IoT (Internet of Things). The test results that the TDS sensor, Temperature, and Turbidity can function well with an average error of the TDS sensor = 8.55%, temperature sensor = 6.95% and thingspeak requires delay when updating data with an average delay on the 3 sensor nodes that is 62.67 seconds. Arduino Uno can read sensor nodes integrated with ESP8266 and connect to the internet so that data sensor can be displayed on thingspeak. Keywords: Monitoring,WSN,ESP8266,IoT.
