STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGARUH VARIASI DEBIT DAN KETINGGIAN AIR (HEAD) TERHADAP KINERJA TURBIN CROSSFLOW
Abstract
Along with the times, the need for electrical energy and science is increasing. Currently, especially in the energy sector, people are trying to develop and increase productivity in the field of electrical energy. Basically humans need electrical energy so that they can help in lighting and lighten the work by using electronic devices. To meet these needs, a device that utilizes water flow (discharge) will be designed to produce a turbine rotation. Therefore, an experimental test device that utilizes water flow (discharge) will be made, using the crossflow method. With variations of Discharge 1, 2, and 3 and Head (0.3 and 0.5) to drive the turbine, the turbine rotation system is used, namely by braking so that the results of the turbine rotation are obtained as efficiently as possible, the research objective of the crossflow turbine experimental test is to produce rotation ( rpm) is the fastest so that it can be developed for further research. In an experimental study, the effect of discharge and water level (head) on the performance of the cross-flow turbine was carried out by researching the effect of water level and discharge variations on the rotation of the crossflow turbine. The purpose of this study was to determine the ideal discharge and water level at the turbine rotation, after testing using three variations of water discharge and two variations of the height of the water fall, the results of the effective note were discharge 3 with a variation of the height of 0.5 m with rotation. the resulting 768 rpm.
