Design of Plate Angle Cutting Tool and Analysis of Effect of Angle of Cut Angle to Shear Stress
Keywords:
Making iron plate angle cutting tools and analyzing the effect of the angle of the cutting edge on shear stress.Abstract
Sheet or plate metal is a raw material that is often used in the metal industry. Forming products made from plate raw materials are generally cut and removed at the corners to get a perfect crease. This plate angle cutting tool is made to simplify the cutting process and can be used to determine the effect of the angle of the cutting edge on the plate shear stress. The parameters observed in this study were the plate shear stress at different cutting edge angles. The cutting data was performed using three cutting edges, namely the cutting edge with an angle of 85 °, an angle of 90 °, and an angle of 95 °. The material used is an aluminum plate with a cut size of 20mm x 20mm and 50mm x 50mm with a thickness of 2mm. The best cutting data were obtained at the cutting edge with an angle of 95 °. Key words: Making iron plate angle cutting tools and analyzing the effect of the angle of the cutting edge on shear stress.References
