Wind tunnel is a tool that serves to determine the condition of the air that hits solid objects. A wind tunnel to produce a flow that has minimum turbulence intensity to give better results in aerodynamic testing. In this final project, an open wind tunnel has been designed and used to measure the dynamic pressure and drag coefficient (Cd) of a miniature truck. The type of Wind tunnel that was built was subsonic type (mach number <1) with a test section size of 30cm x 30cm. The wind tunnel that will be built will have 3 parts, namely the contraction cone, test section, and diffuser. Based on the test, the average value of dynamic pressure at a wind speed of 6 m/s from a condition without a deflector is 16.74 Pa, a basin deflector is 17.59 Pa, a flat deflector is 18.82 Pa, and a convex deflector is 20.95 Pa. As well as the inhibition force in conditions without a deflector 0.625 N, a concave deflector 0.562 N, a flat deflector 0.50 N, and a convex deflector 0.475 N. better value of pressure and resistance than other forms of deflector.References
