The amount of medical waste sourced from health facilities is estimated to increase over time. Where the hospital metal waste smelting furnace can be used as a solution to overcome medical metal waste. The system used in this furnace is smelting which comes from mixing Lpg gas as fuel and air from the blower. Using 3 variations as a benchmark to find variations in the air and fuel mixture so that smelting can be carried out very efficiently, where the variations are 13:1, 17:1 and 21:1. The result of this research is that the smelting furnace with a ratio of air and gas Lpg 17:1 is the best AFR ratio. Hospital waste melts the longest for 97.37 minutes using an AFR variation of 21:1 m/s while the fastest one uses an air velocity variation of 17:1 m/s with a melting time of 58.06 minutes. The maximum temperature for melting this waste is 1165 C. The consumption of Lpg gas in one combustion at a ratio of 17:1 is the least Lpg consumption with 1.16 Kg per one time of smelting. Where at a ratio of 17:1, the most waste can be smelted at one time refueling Lpg 5.5 Kg, namely 1.18 Kg per one time refilling Lpg 5.5 Kg.References
