Analisis Perbandingan Multi WAN Connection Menggunakan Cisco, Mikrotik dan pfSense
Abstract
Abstrak Internet menjadi kebutuhan yang hampir dimiliki oleh setiap kalangan orang. Tidak hanya untuk kalangan individu saja, berbagai Institusi Pendidikan, Perusahaan, Perkantoran dan bahkan di rumah pribadi sudah memiliki koneksi Internet sendiri yang cukup memadai dengan beragam penyedia Internet Service Provider (ISP) yang saat ini juga banyak bermunculan, namun masih ada beberapa ISP yang belum bisa menjamin bahwa koneksi internet yang dimilikinya akan selalu berjalan dengan stabil dan lancar, oleh karena itu maka muncul teknologi Multi WAN untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, namun saat ini banyak perangkat yang mendukung Multi WAN tersebut, sehingga perlu dibandingkan performa jaringan dari perangkat Multi WAN tersebut seperti Cisco, Mikrotik dan pfSense. Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, Load Balancing dapat berjalan dengan baik di ketiga perangkat router yang digunakan dan didapatkan bahwa load balancing yang paling rata dalam membagi beban traffic adalah perangkat mikrotik, dari segi Qos dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat Mikrotik yang paling bagus dalam menangai Multi WAN, karena memiliki fitur yang powerfull seperti marking packet dan marking connection. Kata kunci: Multi WAN, Load Balancing, Cisco, Mikrotik, pfSense, Failover, Qos. Abstract The internet is a necessity that is almost owned by everyone. Not only for individuals, various Educational Institutions, Companies, Offices and even in private homes already have their own internet connection which is quite adequate with a variety of Internet Service Provider (ISP) providers, which currently also appear, but there are still some ISPs that have not can guarantee that the internet connection has always been stable and smooth, therefore, the Multi WAN technology emerged to overcome this problem, but today there are many devices that support Multi WAN, so it needs to compare the network performance of the Multi WAN devices such as Cisco, Mikrotik and pfSense. From the results of the tests that have been done, Load Balancing and Failover can run well on all three set of router devices that are used and it was found that the most average load balancing in dividing the traffic load is a mikrotik device, in terms of Qos, it can be concluded that the best Mikrotik device in handling Multi WAN, because it has powerful features like marking packet and marking connection.
