Pengembangan Sistem Business Intelligence untuk Analisa Pola Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Politeknik Caltex Riau
Abstract
A new student is a status that is carried by a person in the first year of study at a university. Student ages range from 18-25 years. The New Student Admissions Staff are the parties who are in charge of managing the data for New Student Admissions at the Caltex Riau Polytechnic. The staff is in charge of monitoring PMB at the Caltex Riau Polytechnic. Currently, monitoring is still carried out by checking the PMB data one by one through the PMB management information system which can only be accessed by PMB staff. The problem is that there is a concern that monitoring will not be carried out thoroughly and will require a lot of time. In addition, there is no media to assist the analysis process such as not displaying graphs for visualizing PMB data. Meanwhile, PMB staff need a system that is able to visualize all PMB data for concrete reports. The solution to this problem is the construction of a PMB data system with a website-based Business Intelligence using a codeigniter framework, and the application of multidimensional data modeling using the nine-step kimball method which will be visualized on the dashboard. With this website, it is hoped that it will help New Student Admissions staff more easily work on PMB data reporting tasks at the Caltex Riau Polytechnic.Published
