Rancang Bangun Portal Website untuk Perguruan Tinggi Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Riau Province has 80 active universities spread across several regions. Some have official websites that provide news about achievements, information, and activities carried out on campus. Based on the results of the distributed questionnaires, it was found that 54.4% of them had difficulty finding news and news websites from certain colleges. To solve this problem, a website portal was built which will accommodate news on universities in Riau Province. The website portal will be built using a grabbing technique, which is taking news content from the original college website by using the URL. The content taken is in the form of title, description, date, and news image. News that has been grabbed are grouped into several categories. The classification process is carried out using text mining and the naïve Bayes classifier algorithm through headlines. News headlines are processed using text mining, then the odds are calculated in each category. From the opportunity value, the highest value is taken from the overall opportunity category. The news is put into the category with the highest odds score. News that has been successfully classified will be displayed on the website portal. The system has been tested functionality and got an accuracy of 78.26%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the system built can help students find news that has been categorized from each university website in Riau Province.
