IMPLEMENTASI TEKNIK BLEND SHAPE PADA PEMBUATAN FILM ANIMASI 3D CERITA RAKYAT KUANTAN SINGINGI OMBAK NYALO DAN SIMUTU OLANG
Abstract
Folklore is a story that develops in the community and is passed down from generation to generation through word of mouth. In Riau Province, there are folk tales entitled Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang which come from Kuantan Singingi Regency. Thus, in this study, the Folklore of Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang is presented which is packaged in the form of a 3D animated film by applying the technique Blend Shape to the animation of the character's face. The Technique Blend Shape That has been applied has succeeded in producing facial animations that seem natural and realistic as well as adding to the quality of the animated film characters of the folklore Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang. This animated film has been tested on 30 respondents, and on average they strongly agree that the character expressions in the animated film already look natural and realistic, the storyline is easy to understand, and interesting to watch. This animated film was also tested by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test watching the animated folklore film Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang. Animated folklore films Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang provide information and increase knowledge after watching by 65.33%. In addition, the animated folk tales of Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang can be an alternative in reintroducing the culture of Kuantan Singingi Regency, the folklore of Ombak Nyalo and Simutu Olang to the public.
