Making 3D Profile Animation at Caltex Riau Polytechnic by converting 3D Objects into Toon Shading and Grease Pencil
Abstract
This study discusses the analysis of the application and image quality between 3D objects that are konversied into toon shading and grease pencils in the open source Blender 3D software. Toon shading aims to make 3D graphics look like 2D because the material used is solid and there is an outline that covers the object so that it looks like a 2D image then grease pencil is obtained by konversiing 3D objects into grease pencil form. Analysis of toon shading and grease pencil will result in image quality testing from the results of rendering cycles. Based on testing the application of toon shading and grease pencil has been successfully applied. In addition, this study also conducted tests on the public to choose 3D Profile PCR animation videos with which conversion they preferred. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the public prefers the 3D Profile animation of Caltex Riau Polytechnic using konversi Toon shading.
