Sistem Penilaian Siswa Berprestasi dengan Penerapan Algoritma K-Means (Studi Kasus : SMP Negeri 29 Pekanbaru)
Abstract
Junior High School 29 Pekanbaru is one of the junior high schools in Pekanbaru that still applies a manual assessment system. Often teachers determine outstanding students based solely on report cards and the results of these attributes or factors are obtained from manual calculations. Currently, teachers at Junior High School 29 Pekanbaru have difficulties in assessing outstanding students. An alternative solution to this problem is the development of a website-based Student Achievement Assessment System using the K-Means Clustering algorithm. The way K-Means works is to group data based on the similarity or the closest distance from the Euclidean distance value. The results of this study are in the form of grouping data on the value of students with achievement, moderate or not achieving. Based on the results of the tests carried out, the percentage value of 96.25% (with the category strongly agree) which indicates that the Student Achievement Assessment System with the Application of K-Means (Case Study: Junior High School 29 Pekanbaru) has been running as desired and has been accepted by the community user. Keywords: Clustering, Euclidean Distance, K-Means.Published
