Workshop dan Pelatihan Komunikasi Efektif serta Leadership Training dalam Organisasi Pengurus OSIS dan MPK di SMA Cendana Pekanbaru

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the effectiveness of organizational communication and the leadership capacity of the OSIS (Student Council) and MPK (Student Council) administrators at Cendana High School, Pekanbaru. The main problems faced by the partners included ineffective internal communication, poor public speaking skills, weak teamwork, and a lack of understanding of leadership and organizational fundamentals. The program implemented a participatory approach through workshops, training, organizational simulations, and hands-on practice conducted face-to-face. The materials provided included tests on communication characteristics, public speaking, teamwork, problem-solving, mind mapping, meeting leadership techniques, and presentation techniques. The results of the program demonstrated an increase in participants' understanding of effective communication, collaborative leadership, and the ability to convey organizational information more systematically. This activity contributed to strengthening the performance of OSIS and MPK and established Cendana High School, Pekanbaru, as a model for effective organizational communication in secondary schools.
