Retraction, Withdrawal, & Correction Policy

1. Policy Statement

Jurnal ELEMENTER acknowledges that authors have devoted considerable effort to preparing their manuscripts and have patiently followed the peer-review procedures established by the journal. However, under certain circumstances, published articles may need to be removed or retracted for various reasons.

2. Article Retraction

An article may be retracted if it is suspected of violating scientific ethics or publication ethics, including simultaneous submission to multiple journals (double submission), false claims of authorship, plagiarism, data manipulation or falsification, the inclusion of fictitious authors, or other similar violations.

In addition, retraction may be carried out to address errors that occur during the manuscript submission or publication process.

Article retraction may be initiated by the authors or editors based on the considerations and recommendations of the Editorial Board of Jurnal ELEMENTER.

3. Article Withdrawal

An article may be withdrawn if its initial version contains errors or has been accidentally submitted more than once, either to Jurnal ELEMENTER or to another journal or publisher.

Furthermore, article withdrawal may occur if violations of scientific ethics are identified, including simultaneous submission to multiple journals (double submission), false claims of authorship, plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data manipulation or falsification, or other similar violations.

If authors become aware that their submitted manuscript contains any of these ethical violations, they may submit a request to withdraw the article.

The withdrawal request must be accompanied by a formal withdrawal statement addressed to the Editorial Board of Jurnal ELEMENTER.

4. Article Correction

Jurnal ELEMENTER should consider issuing a correction if a small portion of an otherwise reliable published article contains inaccurate data or potentially misleading information, particularly when such errors result from honest mistakes (honest errors).

The decision on whether a correction should be issued shall be made by the journal editors, taking into account recommendations from reviewers or members of the Editorial Board, when necessary.

The handling editor will contact the authors of the article concerned to request clarification regarding the identified issues.

However, the final decision on whether a correction is necessary, as well as the type of correction to be issued, rests entirely with the journal editors.
